How to Gain Self-Confidence

Learning to believe in yourself is not something that happens overnight. It takes time, commitment, and courage. But when you’re consistently setting goals, putting in the work, and celebrating your achievements, your lack of self-confidence will never hold you back again.

  • Don’t go it alone. You get results faster if you have a partner sharing decisions, guiding and encouraging you. They can help you define your goals, research options, design a course of action, and troubleshoot.

  • Look for real examples. Only you know what success looks like in your eyes. Seek out people who have achieved what you desire and study their stories. It won’t be your story, but you can learn from what works for other people. It reduces trial-and-error experiences and mistakes on your part.

  • Get physical. According to the Mayo Clinic, physical exercise boosts self-confidence because it gives you a tangible outlet for creating and meeting challenges and can make you feel better about how you look. If you join a team or sign up for a class, it provides a social outlet, too.

If you want to experience how to help your self-confidence, then working with a life coach is a great option. You learn techniques for building your confidence and for identifying stumbling blocks. You begin the transformation into the better life you envision. By filling out the Self-Confidence Worksheet, you have already taken the first step in an incredible journey of discovering how to boost confidence and break free of guilt or shame.
